Privacy Policy

1. Controller

No data protection officer has been appointed, as there is no legal obligation to do so.

2. Hosting and server log files

The website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. Whenever a page is requested, your browser transmits technically necessary data to the server, which is stored in log files:

• IP address,
• date and time of the request,
• requested address (URL) and amount of data transferred,
• HTTP status code,
• referrer (the previously visited page, if transmitted),
• browser type and operating system.

The purpose is to deliver the website and to keep it secure and stable. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is a secure and working service. The host stores the log files according to its own rules and then deletes or anonymises them. We do not combine this data with other sources. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with STRATO.

3. Automatic news updates

If you open a page and the news shown is older than a few minutes, your browser sends a background request to our own server (/api/news.php?action=tick). It only triggers the fetching of new items. No additional personal data is stored; only the server log files from section 2 apply. The internal update log contains no IP addresses.

4. Storage in your browser (local storage)

To keep your settings and load faster, the website stores a few entries in your browser's local storage. This data is not sent to us and stays on your device:

This storage takes place because it is necessary for the functions you use (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). Where personal data is involved, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can remove these entries at any time in your browser settings (“clear site data”). Details are in the cookie policy.

5. No images from news sources

Omid57.info currently shows no preview images from the news sources. While you read the news overview, your browser therefore loads no content from the servers of these media. Only when you click a link to an original article do you connect to that outlet; its privacy notice then applies. If we show images again, we will update this section beforehand.

6. Fonts

The font used (Vazirmatn) is stored locally on our server. No connection to Google or any other font provider is made when a page loads.

7. Links, share buttons and original articles

Headlines link to the original articles of the respective media. The share buttons (e.g. X, Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram, email) are plain links: only when you click one does your browser connect to that provider and pass on the address of the item. From then on, that provider's privacy notice applies. The same applies to links to our own service FinanzTool.info.

8. Advertising (Google AdSense)

Omid57.info shows ads through Google AdSense. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. For this, a script from Google is embedded in the pages, which your browser loads from Google's servers when a page is opened; for technical reasons Google receives your IP address and browser information. This script also displays the consent window. The legal basis for loading the script is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is financing the free service. Google may use cookies and similar technologies and process data such as your IP address, browser and device information and the page viewed – to serve and measure ads, limit how often they appear, prevent abuse and, only if you agree, show personalised ads. A transfer to the USA is possible; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Ads that use cookies or similar technologies are loaded only after you have agreed in a consent window (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. Without your consent no personalised ads are shown; Google may then serve limited ads without advertising cookies. 9. Contact by email

If you email us, we process your address and the content of your message to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or (b) for contract-related requests). We delete the data when it is no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply. Our mailbox is hosted by Google (Gmail, Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland); a transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

10. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). An informal email to Omid57@gmail.com is sufficient.

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is: Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz, Hintere Bleiche 34, 55116 Mainz, Germany.

11. No automated decision-making

There is no automated decision-making, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR). You are not obliged to provide us with personal data; without the server log files, however, the website cannot be delivered.

We update this policy when the website or the law changes. The version published here applies.
