1. What Omid57.info is – and is not

Omid57.info is a news overview. We show headlines from other media, always name the source and link to the full article at the original. We do not write our own news articles and never present other outlets' items as our own.

2. Selection of sources

The operator selects the sources for each edition. The criteria are that they are established media with their own editorial responsibility, that they offer a public news feed, and that each edition covers a broad range of topics. The Persian edition deliberately includes both international Persian-language broadcasters and media from Iran, including state and state-affiliated news agencies. Including a source does not mean endorsing its content or stance; that is why every item states where it comes from.

3. No changes to content

Headlines are taken over unchanged. Only formatting (e.g. HTML code) is cleaned up technically. For media based in the European Union we show the headline only; for other media at most a short excerpt from the feed (up to 160 characters). We currently show no images from the media.

4. Automation and its limits

• New items are fetched automatically every few minutes and sorted by time.
• Categories and the “breaking” label are assigned automatically based on keywords and may be wrong in individual cases.
• Duplicate items are shown only once; items older than three days are removed.
• If a source fails, its most recently fetched items remain visible for up to three days.

5. Crediting and linking

Every item names the outlet it comes from and links to the original article. Anyone who wants the whole story reads it at the original.

6. Corrections and removal

We accept error reports and requests from publishers who do not want their content on Omid57.info at Omid57@gmail.com and handle them promptly (see contact).

7. Independence and advertising

Items are never included in return for payment, and there are no paid editorial placements. Ads (e.g. from Google AdSense), where present, are recognisable as advertising and kept separate from the news; the news overview has no influence on which ads are shown. References to FinanzTool.info are own advertising for another service by the same operator.
